Day 1: Arrival at Ivato airport – Antananarivo – Hotel

15 Km – 1 hour drive

Arrival at the Ivato International Airport. Reception by Jean Be Tour, meet and greet. Once you have passed customs formalities, it is to the Guide to smooth through the rest of the arrivals process – changing money, setting up your phone with the new SIM card, and anything else you need. Day 2 : Antananarivo – Ankarafantsika – Night walk – Ankarafantsika – Hotel

320 Km – 10 hours drive

Admiration of the varied landscapes through the plateaus of Tampoketsa

Taking National Road 4, we head towards the north west coast of the island. Along the way, you will be able to admire the beauty and immensity of the varied landscapes through the famous plateaus of Tampoketsa. A short break at Maevatanana, the warmest place of the big island which is famous for its mining resources where you will have the opportunity to see the gold diggers. Lunch then extension to Ankarafantsika, installation at the hotel. At the beginning of the evening, we will go to meet small mammals, reptiles and nocturnal birds. Dinner and Overnight at Ankarafantsika Gite hotel, Standard Bungalow.

Day 3: Ankarafatsika National Park “The kingdom of Malagasy birds”

Whole day visit

After breakfast, morning expedition in the Park to  spot the beautiful Coquerel,s Sifaka and brown Lemurs. There is a chance of seeing day roosts of Milne Edwards Sportive Lemurs during the walk . Along the hike, we spot also endemic Birds such as Coquerel,s coua, Red capped couas and we end the hike at the scenic landscape of Lavaka where we will see a soft Tsingy, caused by erosion and wind. We walk back to the campsite for Lunch. In the afternoon, we explore the lake, their crocodiles and the endemic Malagasy fish eagle. A visit to the breeding station of the Durrell trust preservation where we will be able to see the plough shell tortoise, radiated tortoises and spider tortoises. Overnight at Ankarafantsika Gites hotel, Standard Bungalow.

Day 4: Ankarafantsika – Antsohihy – Ambanja – Hotel

400 km, 15 hours drive

After breakfast, we drive from Ampijoroa to Ambanja; we see the rice field landscapes on the way, Local people in the north part of Madagascar and Villages as well as. We have lunch in Antsohihy. Overnight at Palmanova hotel, standard room.

Day 5: Ambanja – Cacao Plantation – Ankarana – Hotel

135 km, 3 hours drive

We have a short visit for Cocoa plantations with the bicycle with a local guide, too. After lunch, heading to Ankarana village and hotel check in. Overnight at Ankarana lodge, luxury bungalow.

Day 6: Ankarana National Park

Whole day visit

After breakfast, beginning of the visit and discovery of Tsingy of Ankarana.

Ankarana is a massif of coral origin. It extends over a little more than 30km where canyons, forests, caves and underground rivers reign supreme.

In addition, this small town located in the south of Diego-Suarez is the cradle of the Antakarana people. An obligatory passage when one is in this part of the island. Here, the remarkable discoveries that you will make will be the Tsingy and the karstic landscapes, as well as the many varieties of plants and endemic species.

The reserve covers 18 220ha. Among the species that can be found are 10 species of lemurs (Crowned Lemur, Sanford’s Lemur), 92 species of birds of which 54 are endemic to Madagascar. Picnic lunch.

Day 7: Ankarana – Red Tsingy – Diego Suarez – Ramena – Hotel

120 km, 6 hours drive

Drive from Ankarana to Diego Suarez and Ramena resort . On the way , we bifurcate to Red Tsingy reserve , a stretch of land in reds, from which thickets of pinnacles made of dried laterite soils rise – a sculptural wonder formed by erosion. It easily reminds you of desolate Mars, except it’s actually a sad beauty born of deforestation. Afterwards, continue driving for about 2.5 hours to Diego Suarez

We have a lunch in Diego and then transfer to Ramena.
This afternoon , we get ready to savor the stunning landscapes around the famous Three Bays. Take time also to stroll on white beaches amid intoxicating consistent breeze, observe sea birds and turtles, then climb dunes to view the Indian Ocean. Later, transfer to your hotel to have a good rest at night. Overnight at Lakana hotel, Upper-range comfort Bungalow.

Day 8: Ramena – Diego Suarez – Amber Mountain National Park – Diego Suarez – Ramena

120 km, 2.5 hours drive

AM: Departure for Amber Mountain National Park. Amber Mountain has a beautiful landscape with its magnificent waterfalls and crater lakes. The park is also the home of the lemurs (Lemur including crowned Sanford Lemur, Bamboo Lemur, Red lemur, Cheirogal), Galidie, Elegant tenrecs (6 families), Chameleons, Frogs, Birds (72 species) including Ibis, Gobe, Ferns, Herbs and Orchids.
PM: We return to the hotel. Overnight at Lakana hotel, Upper-range comfort Bungalow.

Day 9: Ramena – Emerald sea – Ramena – Diego Suarez – Ankarana Village – Hotel

130 km, 3.5 hours drive

Your driver and a local guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you with your bags to the place where you will start the boat excursion to emerald sea

Departure for an excursion in the Emerald Sea, the ideal location for nautical activities, such as snorkeling. The exploration of the seabed in this place is similar to a visit in a natural aquarium, owing to the turquoise color of the local sea.
We arrive again at Ramena port at 2 pm. Afterwards, we drive for about 3.5 hours to Ankarana and hotel check in. Overnight at Ankarana lodge, luxury bungalow.

Day 10: Ankarana – Ankify Harbor – Ship to Nosy Be Island

118 km, 3 hours drive

Nosy Be awaits! Start this morning by driving for 3 hours to Ankify Harbor, where we will take a shared speed boat to Nosy Be Island.
Upon your arrival, our friendly taxi driver will meet you at Nosy be airport and transfer you by car to your hotel.
Check into the hotel on arrival.

You are now at the most loved beach destination in Madagascar that includes all you’d expect and not expect: seafood, wonderful beaches, underwater or land safari opportunities, local culture… And scented ylang-ylang blooms, whose fragrance can spread far and is why it’s also called Perfumed Island. We will additionally leave three free days for you to explore and experience some activities at your own pace. Get excited!

Day 11: Discovery of the city of Nosy Be

The next day after breakfast, you will discover the city of Nosy Be, starting with the reserve of Lokobe and its fauna: frogs, chameleons, geckos … Passing by the capital of the Island whose complement of its name “Hell-Ville”, you will notice the remnants of the colonial era in Madagascar through the architecture of colonial buildings and the market.

Not far from Hell-Ville, you will not miss the visit of Lemuria Land where reptiles and birds live. To finish the visit of Nosy Be, your guide will take you to the distillery workshop where the essential oil of ylang-ylang is extracted. In the evening, you will return to your hotel to spend the night. Overnight at Belvedere hotel, standard Room.

Day 12: Visit the small islands Nosy Tanikely, Nosy Komba

The next day, that is to say on day 11 of this Madagascar Explorer Tour,the local guide of Nosy be will make you visit two of the islets around Nosy Be: Nosy Tanikely and Nosy Komba.
Nosy Tanikely or Nosy Be Marine Park is located in the heart of the bay of Nosy Be. This geographical position as well as its coral reef makes Nosy Tanikely a real natural aquarium. This islet is a privileged habitat for many marine species thanks to its marine reserve, its corals and its rich biodiversity. Nosy Komba or the island of lemurs is located between Nosy Be, the island of perfumes and the mainland. Day 13: Visit Nosy Iranja

Nosy Iranja is the best known of the visitors among the islets that surround Nosy Be thanks to its wide stretch of white sand of a length of 2 km which connects two islets: Nosy Iranja Be and Nosy Iranja Kely.

These islets form an exceptional landscape with turquoise water surrounding the lagoon. Nosy Iranja is the right place for travelers looking for a change of scenery in an idyllic setting. You will reach your hotel in Nosy Be in the evening. Overnight at Belvedere hotel, standard Room.

Day 14: Nosy be – Nosy be air port – Ivato airport – Antananarivo – Hotel

Transfer to Nosy be airo port and you fly to Antananarivo. Transfer by car to the center of City and hotel check in. Overnight at Samsara hotel, suite room.

Day 15: Antananarivo – Tana city tour – Digeu market – Ivato airport – Fly out
